Childhood Leukemia Symptoms

A white blood cell disorder is the main cause of leukemia which commonly known as blood cancer. This has been a leading fatal disease in children under the age of 13yrs. There are two types of leukemia that is common acute and chronic; children are more vulnerable to acute leukimia. There are two further types of acute leukemia

  1. Acute lymphatic leukimia.
  2. Acute myelogenous leukimia.

In acute lymphatic leukimia the lymphocytes are produced in large number while many of them being immature making them defective in fighting diseases, this lymphatic leukimia mainly affects children , also from their high number they also affect the work of the red blood cell by blocking them and making hard for them to move freely and function. The myelogenous leukimia is caused by myeloid cells which grow to be either red blood cell or platelets. They however do not mature the way they should and therefore interfere on the way other healthy cells functions this leukimia is the one which is associated with anaemia. This defect is traced to genes and is hereditary in most of the cases.

Although this is a deadly disease it's also possible to cure when detected early. Majority of parents do not know the childhood leukemia symptoms of this disease leading to late diagnosis of the disease. If people are educated and showhn how to identify childhood leukimia symptoms this will help a great deal in fighting against this disease. Some of these symptoms are more common and easily identifiable if caution is given to children health and changes addressed as soon as it appears. They include changes in skin colour, general fatigue, and traces of blood in stool and urine, rashes, loss of appetite, loss of weight.

Those who have an ailment which is already acute will show much advance symptoms .This include chest pans, joint pains, chronic headache, the blood does not clot when the blood is exposed, anaemia in those who have acute myelogenous leukimia is also common
